Due to liver complications, I’ve recently decided to lose some weight and start eating healthier. I added new workout machines to my home gym and started working out daily (instead of my original two times a week), I’ve also converted to standing and walking desks for all my day to day activities (hot sweaty action pics later).
I’m glad to say I’ve lost about 20 pounds in under a month! I’m 290 lb Today from my original 312 lb. To help me reach my goal of about 180 lb, I’ll be posting my weight in the usual social networks, so please feel free to pounce on me if you see me slipping.

You go, girl!
I hope your livers are recovering smoothly. I am interested to see pictures of you melting away. Keep working it.
You will. ;)
I hope you make it, but one advice: don’t go too fast. That’s not healthy. Good luck.
Yep, I’m not overdoing it or I hope I’m not.
Congratulations on your first success. Im kind of interested to hear your diet. What kind of food you eat now, how many times and how much? Also it would be good if you would give me your exercising plan of the day. Cheers
Well it’s mostly a low-carb vegetarian diet, with the occasional beef and chicken. I also exercise once day for a full 30 minutes (not counting the walking-desk). My current daily calorie intake is about 1200 per day, give or take a 100.
Well I’m no expert but I believe that 1200 ccal is to low. That is kinda the lowest intake of calories needed for women. For guys the lowest recomendation is 1800. Did you calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate which tells you how much calories your body uses just to run it (like when you are sleeping)? Well here is one site you can check out http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ and from there you calculate daily intake you need. Depends on how much you exercise… Just follow the links and you’ll see :) And as I always say “Ask the Doc!” ;)
I might raise the calorie intake, nighthawk is never wrong.
You want me to pounce? Well alrighty then. Good to hear though. You can do eet!
Congratulations dude, thats a great start.
>standing and walking desks
Does that litterally mean you work at your desk standing up?
It does :) I sit down occasionally.
i went down from 330 pounds to 130 because i was 2 months away from heart attack at the age 30
Thankfully my heart seems fine (though I’m doing an EKG tomorrow just to make sure), everything seems healthy except the liver, years of coffee abuse with almost 7 years of being overweight took it out of the old guy.
i been overweight since i was 15 or so. give or take 15 years alltogether.
